This number is printed on the card of all banks. An example of the card number printed on Mellat bank cards is shown in the picture on the right.

2Online purchase password or second password

The online purchase password is different from the password you enter when using ATM machines. To activate the online purchase password, do one of the following:

1- Go to your bank's ATM. Insert your card and select the password operations section. In the second password or internet password section, define your password.

2- Go to your bank branch.

3CVV2 code or second validation code

The CVV2 code is a 3-digit (and rarely 4-digit) number, like the 16-digit number engraved on the card, which is printed on most cards. For example, it is printed as a 3-digit number on Mellat, Export, Pasargad, Saman, Parsian bank cards, etc. On some Mellat bank cards it is 4 digits, and you can see its picture on the right.

4Expiration date

The expiration date is also printed on most bank cards. If your card does not have an expiration date, do not worry. Use 12 instead of the month and 99 instead of the expiration year.
